Handmade Christmas Pottery｜Shigaraki Ware

Meizan Kiln is located in Shigaraki Town, Shiga Prefecture. It is the birthplace of Shigaraki ware, one of the six ancient kilns in Japan. The firing history of Meishan Kiln can be traced back to the 17th century, when the Tokugawa shogun ordered the "Shingen Pot" to the establishment of Meishan Kiln Co., Ltd. in 1980. In addition to inheriting traditional firing methods, Meishan kiln also has many technological innovations. It is the famous Shigaraki kiln in Japan.
