Recently, however, I was quietly moved by the celadon rice bowl crafted by studio m' with its ten grass patterns. The handmade objects of Japanese artisans always possess a subtle yet captivating charm. As my fingertips glide over the uneven textures on the bowl, each mark bears the trace of a hand carving, revealing itself in the details.

I am particularly fond of that light celadon glaze color, which, when filled with steaming white rice, surprisingly gives ordinary grains a lustrous sheen reminiscent of traditional Japanese confections. The bowl's shape design combines the subtlety of Japanese tea bowls with the practicality of Chinese rice bowls, making it perfect for serving Japanese chazuke, Hong Kong clay pot rice, or Western risotto, showcasing the true beauty of the ingredients. My favorite feature is the elevated base design, which fits perfectly in the palm when held, making it comfortable to serve hot soup without feeling too hot to handle.
